Retroist Friday the 13th Podcast

Horror films changed forever when Jason Voorhees and his mom hit the big screen in 1980.

Welcome to the Retroist Friday the 13th Podcast. Today’s show is about the 1980s horror classic, Friday the 13th. I start off talking about how I missed out on my only summer camp experience because of a very protective Mother. A decision I am sure saved me from certain death at the hands of Jason Voorhees.

Then I move onto the film. I talk about the brains behind the film, its story, and production. Plus well it did at the box office and much more. List fans rejoice metagirl is back with the top 5 list.

This was a fun show to put together. I hope you enjoy it.

Production Notes

  • This is episode 20 of the 1st season of the Retroist Podcast.

  • This is metagirl’s 11th appearance.

  • I was terrified the first time I saw this movie. What really helped was when I saw an edited for TV version of the film. I recorded that and it became my go-to version until I was brave enough for the full film

Thanks for listening to the show and I hope you have a great weekend.
